To Seduce, Amuse, & Entertain

Helmut Newton was a German fashion photographer. His provocative, erotically charged black-and-white photos were a mainstay of Vogue and other publications. I wanted to share with you some photos of this artist who has struck me because it capture the dilemma that remains alive today in women: to affect society with their own role, but without renouncing to its traditional identity.

"My job as a portrait photographer is to seduce, amuse, and entertain people."

Spending The Night

Trying to spend the rest of the night. I'm gonna leave for London this midnight by air together with Shin Hye, Eren, Mikki, and Lucas. But me and Shin Hye will be in Milan for 3 or 4 days while the others will be back to Moscow. I still don't know how about Lucas since he has nothing to do with his jobs in Moscow and I can't just let him all alone there, teehee :D

Anyway, yesterday Lucas left me a note before he left for taking Mikki around Big Ben and some museums with Eren too - while I was still on my duty to took pictures of street-styler with Shin Hye. God damn him... He has kissed me for like gazillions times and, well, I like it.

But I hate it when he tries to flirt with me. Because I always fall for most of his words. Always...

Once

Zara all over me.

Hello, people :) Just got home from sightseeing around London for the last time because tonight I'm gonna continue the duties to Milan, and then Paris. As you guys have known, Milan Fashion Week has officially started since last Wednesday and I think I won't be there even for the last day of it so I'm just gonna have a quick stop there to finish some works with the other talents from Medugalion Ent. and deliver the report to the headquarter. Still, I'll try to spare some times to enjoy Milan for the first time :)

Anyway, do check my new soon-to-be crib. Wait.. did I just say, crib? Yup, you heard me. Several days ago I decided to move out (again, sigh) to London since I feel like London really represents me. Then I talked and discussed this with Lucas (and soon to my family too) and he said he agree with me! He'll also move out if I will, and that'll be supa awesume! Soo, since next month I'll officially graduated from uni and gonna take this big step, just hope that everything will be just fine. I'm really excited to be British, LOL!

My favourite spot at my soon-to-be house. Lucas designed this for me :)

Today's Breakfast: Massive Calories

Partying with McDonald's food family. Also to celebrate my 100th post and the successful LFW. Thank you so much for the appreciation for me and Shin Hye when we were interviewing the street-styler. I'd love to meet them in person if they don't mind, but too bad that I also have more hectic schedules of fashion weeks around Milan ahead. Sooo, you guys can guess which place should I visit later! Ciao!

Working Together

Shin Hye's outfit on LFW day 2. Such a fashionable angel!

Being a blogger at LFW this season:
  1. A girl attending to the 'blogger queue' types in muchlovesera dot blogspot dot com (without slash) and tells me in the most matter-of-fact tone that my blog doesn't exist. After a flurry of failed 'slash' jokes the blog finally loads on the laptop and she scrubs her touchpad down the first page, skimming through posts that took 5 hours to put together. Then she nods, says 'Yeah… I like it' and asks for my statistics. I get a Blogger Pass.
  2. The security man at the BFC tent thumbs my pass and frowns. 'Yes, you may run in and get a few,' he says, 'but the Vitamin Water bottles aren't just for anybody, you know'. Later I present my ticket for a show, sponsored by Vitamin Water–he waves me in nonchalantly.
  3. My ticket request is denied, the PR doesn't seem to remember telling me how much they liked my 6-hour-design post of their previous season catwalk. I then receive a mass mail with a standing e-ticket the day before the show.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to experience wonderful design so up-close, and be a part of the 'magical' scene, but if this is the kind of attitude I should be expecting every season I'd rather be home sharing an amazing cafe I found the other day or five ways to wear the pair of heels that I otherwise would've shredded my foot in doing strangers favours of free publicity. Thank you Shin Hye for helping with the rest of the photos that day :)

100th Posts?! OMFG!

I know, this might be not the right post to be, but I'll still post this. I was first started this blog as nothing, but then with the guts I had, and those silent readers out there, I can finally carved my own blog's name in this wide blogsphere :) Thank you so much for being with me for all this time. I really enjoy my time writing in this blog as you guys always there to read mine. Thank you for the lovely comments and supports you've given or you'll give. Thank you for reminding me to be a good blogger. Thank you, for being my reader :)

Je t'aime vous!

Much, much, much, and much LOVE from me!

A Unique View

Topshop Unique show, London Fashion Week at the Old Waterloo Terminal 18/09/11

The other day, Craig mentioned that it’d be amazing to be invisible as a streetstyle photographer, of course at which point I looked around because I could swear there’s no one there… He’s pretty good at it though, well, except when he wears the brightest yellow rain poncho – that’s how he gets shots of models running, away from him le obviously. I digress. These shots at Topshop Unique may seem that I either was 1) squatting straight bang in the centre of the catwalk, or 2) was invisible. Fact is, Topshop came up with the most unique seating arrangement for bloggers – 3 rows of seats flanking the narrow entrance of the catwalk – we were basically on the catwalk. (Check here) It’s genius though, and so generous, because so far I’ve been seeing nothing but backwardsness when it comes to blogger-treatment this Fashion Week, including an embarassing 30-minutes of queuing at a special bloggers’ line at Somerset Houes waiting for some stranger to pull up my blog on her screen and judge it simply by its looks before determining worthy of accreditation. Topshop seems to get it when it comes to bloggers – arranging essentially two photographer’s pits at each end of the catwalk and letting the rest enjoy the show without worrying about being punched by a telephoto lens. Unique SS12 was all about Cleopatra in urban London, stippled with gold accents, lots of activewear fabric yet carrying the smouldering Egyptian goddess theme throughout. I personally adored it, looking forward to fun pattern/texture layering come SS12!
