Today's Breakfast: Life Is Good

So excited to see one of my Today's Breakfast's photos on my bestfriend's new fall catalog and, Lucas' book, We Start Morning With You which is available for pre-order. Oh yes, Lucas has been writing his own cooking book for a couple of months ago. And I've decided to help him since taking pictures of food is really my thing. So that's what keeping me busy from updating my blog. The book itself is really fun, full with so many unique recipes from foods all over world and other things we can do to avoid the morning blues, especially on Mondays.

And, yes I'm addicted to Trader Joe's Cocoa Almond spread.

I'm Not A Kind of God...

"Where have you been?" you ask. Where have I NOT been. Wait for it... Yep, here's my oft-repeated quote: "I know it's been a while since my last post, BUT..." Seriously, I've been everywhere but home, it seems, these past few weeks. Here's a brief recap...

March 14-16 - Work (keep in mind, this means leaving the house at 5:40am and getting home, after working out, at 9:40pm).
March 17 - Depart in Milan for a friend's wedding shoot.
March 17-21 - In Milan for the wedding.
March 21 - Go straight from airport to work.
March 21-24 - Work.
March 24 - Go straight from work to airport.
March 25-April 4 - Barcelona to have a great getaway trip with Elena and Eun Rae, (and suddenly met my old-time childhood friend, Denali!)
April 4 - Go straight from airport to work (again).
April 4-5 - Work.
April 6 - Elena and Eun Rae back to work again, unpack from Barcelona, pack for next trip.
April 7 - Depart for Lunar Lake reunion with my journalist team.
April 7-14 - Lunar Lake reunion in California.
April 15-17 - Work.
April 18-20 - Visit some clients and friend up in Idaho Falls.
April 21 - Afternoon at Starbucks.
April 22 - Elena came and accompany me to visit her sister in Vegas.
April 22-24 - Work.

Phew! Tired yet? I sure am! But hopefully my blog absence is a little more justified now (although no more cared about). But lest another month go by without a photography post, I thought I would deliver on my promise to show the difference between a polarized and a non-polarized image.

This first picture was taken WITHOUT a polarizer on the lens. Well, actually, the polarizer WAS on the lens, but it was rotated to eliminate it's effect. Notice how there's very little color saturation and notice how strong the reflection is in the pond. When the polarizer is rotated like this, it allows and possibly slightly increases reflections.

And here's the picture with the polarizer ON and rotated to eliminate/reduce the reflections. Seriously, that's all that was done, I didn't go in on the computer afterwards and increase the color saturation. The only difference between these two pictures is one had the polarizing filter rotated to permit/increase reflections, and the other rotated to eliminate/decrease reflections. And since the polarizer reduces the amount of light passing through, the polarized image is also one or two-thirds stops brighter. I know, boring, but now you know (and still don't care). Hopefully I'll have more for you later!

Pelkowski

Mango shirt, Zara skirt, H&M belt, Sfera necklace, Mango shoes

Sweet day, fellow bloggers! :) Today I feel so good! Well, some of the meetings which I did yesterday just gave me lots of positive response and feedbacks. The mission has now accomplished, yay! Actually I was quite afraid to faced those 'high-classes' people on the meetings. If you might remember about the one post which I told you about my first meeting in Medugalion, I was like a frozen iceberg (well, icebergs are frozen, right? :/). But experiences have taught me well. Now I'm ready for another meetings! Yea, bring it on~

Today's outfit, I picked out the simplest clothes to wear because today's doing list is..... HAVING FUN :D Oh well, weekend should be enjoyed, afterall, right? :) Wish you guys have the wonderful weekend too!

Spare Space

Oh wow, flying from one country to another for every 3 days is not an easy thing. But I think I can get used to this. Since this is my workspace, I have to get used to this, no matter what. So, I've arrived in Milan last night (at midnight, to be exact). I still have some meetings with "important people" for the next 4 hours. And while I'm roaming around Milan once again, I think I'll just introduce you to my sidekicks this time :p Wish you have a great day!

Hit The Lights

H&M shirt, Zara short, Zara belt, Mango shoes

This gonna be a quick outfit post. I took this when I was still in London before leaving. Since I've finished all of my graduation things (and can proudly say that now I'm officially graduated, yay!), I'll head to Milan for another business. Still related to my works in Medugalion, but it's more like an "unofficial" collaboration meeting with some Italian brands. This time I'll try to make an appointment with Chiara Ferragni--that is if she doesn't get too busy :) See you guys really soon!

Warming Up

Zara shirt and skirt, H&M belt, Purification Garcia bag, H&M ring, unbranded shoes

Oh God. Oh GOD. OH GOD.

Today is the first day working in Medugalion UK :O I was more than excited for this! I mean, some of them have already knew me well since my surname (Wildblood) is quite rare around the headquarter and the news are spreading fast so they can instantly remember me when I pronounced my name, teehee. Bumi wasn't there, but things gone quite well and I'm delighted that British people are way too polite to me :') Unlike in Moscow, sometimes they ignored you for stupid reasons that aren't reasonable....geez. But yeah! I think I'll be just fine to live all by myself in London. Still looking for a better crib, but I won't force things.

This is the outfit I wore to work. I decided to make it simple since I don't want to be labeled as "Lady Gaga" by being too over-fashion-ladylike to work. But this is London, so people really apreciate what others are wearing and they can understand it as the true reflection of them. I was in a rush, so I mixed all (almost all) what I saw on my wardrobe: a white sheer shirt, black skirt, heels, a fit-to-everything bag and a waist belt. Hope you like! See you guys soon!

A Retired Ballerina

Mango shirt, Mango ballerinas, Zara pants, Day To Day necklace, Parfois ring

Finally I return to use my ballerinas everyday without getting my feet from freezing! There is nothing more comfortable than loafers like these! Today I wore my new necklace from Day To Day, one of the many sophisticated and affordable jewelry stores I've known through the blogosphere, haha. Thank you very much for your comments and apologize for the dark circles in my photos below, there's nothing more difficult than striking for hours at the middle of a big discussion everyday... sigh.

So today, I went to Medugalion to check some works. You know, just in case if Bumi needs me. But suddenly, I was grabbed by random staffs and she told me that we're going to have a kind of emergency meeting. Wow, I was so scared! I wasn't ready to face a "real" meeting since my work is only taking pictures of people out there, and not to argue with each other.... We discussed about the next collaboration with some famous brands for our April campaign. And once again, I was choosen as one of the team now, woohoo!! So happy! Lots of great experiences ahead, I hope :)

More Review of LFW SS2012!

Here are 15 shots from the streets during the LFW SS2012 last month just given by my bestfriend office partner, Park when I just sat down at my work-station–Am I displaying exemplar editorial skills by condensing hundreds and hundreds of shots from the five days of LFW into a neat 15? If you'd like to think like so I won't stop you, shucks, with that rate I might as well have solved world hunger and written a book on DIY Feed the World with sachet of condensed milk attached as gift.

I'm late as always, but I do hope you guys will enjoy these as much as I do!
